“사람들[하느님을 섬긴다고 공언하는 사람들]이 건전한 가르침을 참지 못하고, 도리어 자기 욕망에 따라 자기 귀를 즐겁게 해 줄 선생들을 모을 시기가 올 것입니다.”

(Acts 20:20) He solemnly charged Timothy as an elder to “preach the word” of God in building faith and in preparing the congregation for the period when some would ‘not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, would accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled.’

(사도 20:20) ‘바울’은 장로인 ‘디모데’에게 엄히 명하기를, “사람들이 건전한 교훈을 들으려 하지 않고 자기 욕심을 만족시키려고 많은 스승을 모아 들여 귀를 즐겁게 하는 말만 들으려 할” 시기를 대비하여 믿음을 세우고 회중을 강화하기 위해 하나님의 “말씀을 전파”하라고 하였읍니다.
